De Cirico downloadEven the well of dreams runs dry. Hermann Hesse “The Road to Solitude”

I.
Embrace the silence, for no one is coming
Neither today, or tomorrow, or the day after

to wash urns full of musk lilacs
blooming from the Earth’s crypts….
Open faced figs broiled on a noon heat
seep in their sweat sweet sap marrows of memories–
They are dreams dried
And thrown over a deserted railway bridge
Leading nowhere, but still tying the present with the past;
Just a steel cDe Chirico 2images (25)onstruct with no purpose
With a dessert heart and a view that
Breaks its neck crushing
in a foul sewage smell of ever flowing river
reaching the neck of the same past
turning to a moment stop,
A sole beginning
That escapes a sigh and a word
Now stuck on a blockage at the door of a heart
“No words can be found to foil the defeat
No one to run or die in a duel, but just a yearlong retreat.”

II.
The river that
always flows
And rubs with its rushing ebbs with the overtones of all nature rigs
You know it very well,
my words that never reveal anything
and act as pretend shows,
With a free ticket to nowhere that seems to be a win;
Give a kiss to the end that lately grayed upon us and become so thin;
Let us move from this setback,
And stay solemn on an empty railway track;
“No words can be found to foil the defeat

III.
What is it that is not and it’s becoming?
Is this a joke or a real sphinx?
Is a rising riddle the order and desire of all things?
Do you know the cave and a closed back door?
It’s called “tragic,” with a slight possibility of “magic”;
Let me walk free over so many burnt lands that I used to dream,
Cause I want to transform the desert into the garden of Eden
With ever flowing stream
Of love…
Love, did I say? Or is it an ever flowing change?
“No words can be found to foil the defeat
No one to run or die in a duel, but just a yearlong retreat.”
